Status Explanation

  • Preliminary - Object has been submitted to the MPC
  • Provisional - Object has been given a provisional designation by the MPC. This status will only be changed if discovery credit is given to the measurements made from Zooniverse.
  • Numbered - Object has been observed enough to finalize the orbit. At this point the MPC will give the final numbered designation to the object. This will usually take several years.

If you are not seeing objects that you correctly identified in the results you may have submitted your name for discovery after the objects were submitted to the MPC.
